What Two Books Was Robert E. Lee Reading During Christmas Recess In 1867?

How about a little trivia tonight? A little Lee trivia nonetheless. What books was Robert E. Lee reading during Christmas recess of 1867? Well, there were only two books. They were Oliver Goldsmith's Vicar of Wakefield, first published in 1766, and John Bunyan's Pilgrim's Progress, first published in 1678. Not bad Christmas reading if you ask me. I look forward to meeting Lee in heaven one day, after, of course, meeting the one who makes heaven heaven.
